These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Koda, the website located at kodaflo.com and its related apps and services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Koda publishes original summaries of non-fiction books in each of the languages we support, delivered as text on kodaflo.com and as narrated audio on our YouTube channel. Our summaries are our own commentary and analysis of a book's ideas — they are not reproductions of the original text and are not a substitute for reading the book itself.
You can read a limited number of free summaries per day without an account. To unlock saved libraries, likes, and unlimited reading, you'll need to create an account using email, Google sign-in, or a passkey. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure, including any two-factor authentication (TOTP) codes and backup codes tied to your account. Tell us immediately at hello@kodaflo.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must be at least 13 years old to create a Koda account. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
Koda offers a free Starter tier with a daily reading limit, and a paid Max tier billed monthly or annually that removes those limits. Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Summaries, illustrations, the Koda name, and site design are owned by Koda or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to read and listen to our content for your own use. Underlying book titles, covers, and quoted excerpts remain the property of their respective authors and publishers.
If you believe a Koda summary infringes your copyright, contact us at hello@kodaflo.com with the details and we will investigate promptly.
Summary pages may include "Buy this book" or "Listen on Audible" links through the Amazon Associates and Audible affiliate programs. If you make a purchase through one of these links, Koda may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We are not responsible for the content, pricing, or policies of Amazon, Audible, YouTube, or any other third-party site you reach from Koda.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that summaries are error-free, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that it will meet your specific needs. Nothing on Koda is professional, financial, medical, or legal advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Koda and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD $50 if you're on the free tier.
You can delete your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or discontinue the Service (or parts of it) with reasonable notice where practical.
We may update these Terms as Koda evolves. Material changes will be announced by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Koda's place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. If you are a consumer based in the EU, UK, or Indonesia, mandatory local consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived by contract still apply to you and take precedence over any conflicting term here.
